What membership involves?
Membership at the Midlands Riding Club includes access to group rides, participation in events, and eligibility for exclusive offers. Members also receive updates on upcoming rides, and social activities to enhance their riding experience and community engagement.
You must become a Member to join a Club ride.
How do I book rides?
Booking a ride with the Midlands Riding Club can be done through our Facebook page. Simply visit the Events page, follow the link to Facebook and select your desired ride.
What are the club rules?
The club has a set of rules focused on safety, respect, and enjoyment for all members. It includes following riding etiquette, respecting fellow riders, and adhering to safety guidelines to ensure a positive experience for everyone involved.

Do I need hunting experience?
No. We do not use hounds, and routes are fixed. Any confident hack rider can take part.
Is jumping compulsory?
​Never. All fences have easy ways around.
What pace can I expect?
This depends on the ride type — always listed on the schedule.
Can children join?
Yes, with an adult and appropriate safety gear. We also offer dedicated Children’s & Newcomer Meets.
Do I need special attire?
For most rides, smart casual or tweed is fine.
For Peak Season rides, hunting-style attire is encouraged but not mandatory.

Do I need insurance?
Yes. All riders must hold their own Public Liability Insurance.
What if my horse is fresh or spooky?
Field Masters can support you — but please ensure your horse is fit, manageable and suitable for group riding
What happens if the weather is bad?
Safety and land conditions come first. If we cancel, all riders are notified, and refunds or transfer options are offered as per our cancellation policy.
